While searching for some inspiration for future photo shoots, I discovered fashion photographer, Corrie Bond. This UK-based photographer is widely known for her work for Marie Claire, In-Style and New York Times. Her work has an admirable feminine quality, and consistently conveys timeless beauty. Bond strategically manipulates natural light and dewy shadows to delicately graze her subject matter. Through her compositions and editing style, Bond’s photographs whisper a soft, vintage feeling. Her editorials are light, breathtaking and a visual treat. Take a peak at her stunning work below and visit her website to see more work.

Hats are a classic, debonair way for a man to protect himself from the sun. A smart-dressed man reaches for a hat on the way out the door as the simple, functional way to complete a look. Many men say, “I’m not a ‘hat person’.” This is false. ’Hat people’ are merely the people brave enough to wear them. The key to looking your best in a hat (as with most clothing) is to focus on fit. Tight-fitting hats shrink the head and can add the illusion of weight; loose-fitting hats can lend the wearer an unfortunate, Oliver Twist appearance. Also remember that light colors are the only way to go in these warm summer months. Browse some simple, straw fedoras from Banana Republic, and take cues from the following photos to inspire your own look.

Style is not expensive.
We believe that style is more about taste and confidence than price, so it’s refreshing to see a trend come along that is universally accessible. This week’s menswear highlight is the neckerchief. It’s hard to miss this accessory right now. The neckerchief rose to popularity last summer, and it’s easy to see why it’s sticking around for the warmer months again. This casual cousin of the ascot lends any look a dash of Cary Grant class.
In addition to stylishly complimenting your wardrobe, a cotton, washable bandana worn around the neck can easily save your collars from an unbecoming ring of dirt.
Rummage through your clothes drawers because the odds are that you already have this season’s ‘must-have’. If you don’t have a neckerchief lying around (or you just want so see how to wear one), check out FineandDandyshop.com here. Their site has some wonderful examples of this simple accessory.
Also, if you’re in Savannah be sure to come out to Florence & Millie’s Relaunch Party tonight at 6. We’d love to see you there!

Even though she is just the young age of 26, Jamie Nelson has already managed to hit the fashion photography industry by storm. She has worked for seven different Vogue publications, as well as Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Allure, and many other publications. She has also done commercial campaigns for big name companies such as Target, Disney, and Warner Brothers. Her work is rife with amazing colors, clean lines, and distinct style. We love how amazing she is at such a young age, and hope to see much more work from her in the future.

We are absolutely love, love, loving Red Velvet right now! From vintage style clothing and accessories to an incredible and artistic lookbook, Red Velvet is just our style! We have been looking at their website, oohing and ahhing over every piece. One of our favorite things about their site is you can shop by trend (1960′s, 70′s Chic, Velvet, or Handmade). So cool! And to add to their list of amazingness, they have e-courses that you can purchase that teach you awesome stuff such as DIY style, blogging, and running a creative business. Yeah, this might be our new favorite thing. Take a look at some of the photos from their amazing look book as well as some of our favorite outfits and then check out the rest of Red Velvet!
