We can’t believe that it’s already the third day of August. The time is flying. But as we all finally start to accept that summer is winding down and coming to an end, why not have a pick-me-up of updating your closet for the next best season, fall. Fall fashion is always fun to shop and dress for. The beginning is still warm enough to pull off your favorite summer getups and then cools down to layer up, and throw on your trusty hand-knit infinity scarf. Color is the essential “flavor” for fall, wether it be the changing leaves, pumpkin flavored snacks, or most importantly, personal attire. Here we have the upcoming pantone colors for fall 2012 to make sure you’re purchasing on-trend treasures. The colors of fall will feel familiar as they are warm and saturated, with a similar taste of summer. Perhaps this will make fall an easier transition for us, our closets and our budgets. We picked out some of our favorite pieces within the fall 2012′s color scheme for some style inspiration and we are looking forward to sharing them with you all.

Shoes are the perfect way to zip up your simple summer time look WITHOUT having to buy an entire new closet. So ladies, lift your summer wardrobe with a new pair of platform sandals! There’s plenty of options this season, with a variety of colors, prints and people’s biggest concern, heights. Pair them with your favorite pair of colored crops, shorts and flirty skirts. Top the look off with an armful of stacked bracelets, wide brimmed hats and summer scarves. And wa-la, you have a fashionable, little look to flaunt in summertime breeze.
Here are some of the favorites we have found..
Nordstroms, Anthropologie, and Nasty Gal have provided the shoes shown above, and they are a great start to finding your perfect platform!

Sometimes we have one of those days where we just don’t know what to wear. We’ll be in a really big “I want to look super cute and awesome” kind of mood, but just can’t seem to put anything together that looks just right. On days like these, we like to take a little style inspiration from different look books that feature looks by designers or companies/stores. A big trend recently is going beyond print and creating fashion look book videos. They are more editorial and tend to give a sense of the mood and lifestyle of what the designer and collection are all about. It also serves to give you ideas on how to wear the items from the collections that are currently out or items that the store is offering. We love being able to see how collections from some of our favorite stores are being shown more and more through video look books. Take a look at some of our favorites that we have found. Everything in the videos from the amazing cinematography and music, to the styling and just overall creativity creates some pretty wonderful style inspiration.

So, it’s feeling like Spring here in Savannah, and all this basking in the warm weather has made us excited for Spring fashions! One of our favorite things is this trend of pants as statement pieces! We love how funky and fun effect of using patterns or crazy bright colors. It’s a great way to make an outfit have some flare and personality! Also, it’s a great excuse to pull out your neutral toned t-shirts without feeling boring. Spice up your wardrobe and your life with some fun and funky pants instead another pair of blue jeans for the Spring, and see our favorites below!
